On May 6, 2014 two Miami Valley Career Technology students were presented with Northridge Optimist Club awards for outstanding scholarship and citizenship. The club presents these awards annually to outstanding MVCTC students whose home school is Northridge High School. The recipients were Dyreda Helton from the Allied Health program, and Esco Reeder from the Cullinary Arts program. In attendance at the presentation were their MVCTC counselors, teacher, and principal, their Northridge High School counselor, the students' family members, and Northridge Optimist Club members. The club wishes these outstanding students luck in their further ventures in higher education, and in the pursuit of their respective careers. The club also wishes to thank the staff at MVCTC for hosting the event and providing an excellent lunch.
