33rd Annual Scholarship Scramble
Thanks to all! Thanks to the golfers, sponsors, donors, members, helpers, and volunteers for contributing to the success of the Northridge Optimist Club 33rd Annual Scholarship Scramble golf outing on Friday, September 23.
On September 23, 2016 the Northridge Optimist Club held its 33nd Annual Scholarship Golf Scramble for funding Northridge area youth activities and scholarships. Over $200,000 in scholarship awards have been given in the previous thirty two years of the event, through the Northridge Optimist Club’s scholarship endowment, a component fund of The Dayton Foundation . The outing was held at Kittyhawk Golf Course. The golfers enjoyed a breakfast at registration and lunch after the round with prize drawings afterwards.
Besides the participation of the golfers, the support of donors and sponsors greatly enhanced the success of this effort which will help fund scholarships in the amount of about $12,000 to Northridge High School students at the end of this school year. The club wishes to thank the sponsors and donors for their support which allows the continuation of these scholarship awards for another year. A list of the major sponsors and donors can be seen in the Event Program, which can be downloaded by clicking the button below. The club also thanks the Northridge High School golf team for their support in scoring the event and helping with the hole sponsor signs. Many thanks also to Northridge Schools and Superintendent Dave Jackson. There were also several volunteers who supported the event by providing valuable help to club members with activities of registration, raffle ticket sales, and set up. Thanks to all. The Northridge Optimist Club scholarship awards will be presented to the student recipients at the school awards ceremony next spring.
