"Bringing out the Best - The First Century of Optimist International (1919-2019)" Available on Amazon: This amazing chronicle brings the history of Optimist International to life with stories of real Optimists and their positive impact on youth, local communities, and the world. The book traces the roots of Optimism to visionary leaders in the early part of the Twentieth Century who overcame difficulties to share their uplifting message—based on The Optimist Creed—across the United States, into Canada, throughout the Caribbean, and ultimately around the globe. Bringing Out the Best is a great read for everyone whose lives have been touched in some way by the Optimist movement and for anyone who is interested in the evolution of service organizations over the last century. https://www.amazon.com/Bringing-Century-Optimist-International-1919-2019/dp/0578518007/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=bringing+out+the+best%2C+david+bruns&qid=1560908825&s=gateway&sr=8-1 |
