| Holiday Schedule: There will be no club meetings on the Tuesdays that fall in the week's of Christmas and New Years, which would be Dec. 22 and Dec. 29. So the last club meeting of December will be on the 15th, and then we will not convene again until January 5th. |  |
Meeting of November 24:
Club members joined our friends at Riverdale Optimist Club at the Masonic Temple for a Thanksgiving week meal. Riverdale President Donna Matheny welcomed our members and introduced the speaker, David Wright of Paradigm Performance group, a strategic partner with Ziglar, Inc. David is a Ziglar Legacy Certified Trainer, Ziglar Coach, speaker and author. He spoke about how at times we all need support from others, and how we can look for ways to help give others our support. "I've Got Your Back" was the theme of his talk, and he gave examples of this type of support, where someone else see what you cannot see, and to give you perspective. Riverdale announced their annual super bowl party raffle, and also announced that next week, on their usual Thursday Noon meeting date (Dec. 3) their program will be a musical performance by students from Stivers School for the Arts, and invited our members to attend if they wish. Thanks to Riverdale for their hospitality, and for an excellent Thanksgiving meal.
Denny Mantel Christmas Sharing Program:
The 2015 Denny Mantel Christmas Sharing Program has been scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 12. Club members and other volunteers will meet on this day to buy groceries and deliver them to the families for the holidays.
